Are you a chef wanting more sociable hours? Fed up of double shifts and evening work? We are looking for a chef in our busy cafe in the middle of Dartmoor. Experience is not essential but we are more looking for someone who has a passion for food and an open attitude to learn.
The hours may be varied but are sociable as we are open from 10 - 4:30 every day. Required to work weekends and bank holidays and probably needs to drive due to our location. Pay will be on an hourly rate but is dependent on experience/trial shift.
Main responsibilities:
- Prepping food for service/baking cakes and scones for the counter
-Breakfast service in the morning and lunch service in the afternoon
-Menu planning (we have only been running the cafe for 9 months so the menu is still in development and someone willing to come up with new ideas and experiment is ideal).
-Working well as a team with both the kitchen and FoH staff.
